How to dissolve unregistered Christian marriage?

My friend has got married in church 6 months ago but now wants separation. Her marriage was not registered so how should she go about it? Does she need to go for legal divorce? How should she end the marriage?
since the marriage was performed in church then do you have any photographs of the marriage ceremony since as per your sayings marriage was not registered so any photographs or invitation cards what is your jurisdiction...

it easy no marriage certificate is required but the divorce can only happen after 1 year of separation and moreso there are few tecnicalities which need to be understood before filing which makes the process easier
