How to change to new lawyer as my present lawyer is not guiding proper
18-Nov-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My husband applied for divorce and I am supposed to give counter. During mediation my husband agreed for settlement but my lawyer and his lawyer are demanding 15% of the settlement amount from me. As I did not agree to this both lawyers are not taking up for mutual consent and creating problems by giving wrong information to husband side. They are forcing me to contest divorce case now. What is the procedure to change to new lawyer as contest didn't start yet? Can my lawyer oppose to hand over the case to new lawyer legally? How to overcome the problem created by greedy lawyers?
First you should clear all the fees of the lawyer as agreed between you and him and request him to give no objection certificate for engagement of new lawyer. if still your lawyer not give no objection certificate and adamant for higher amount then immediately file a written complaint against him in Bar Council. if you want any further information or any other advice then contact me without any hesitation through administrator of this website
