How to apply for divorce and what is the procedure during lockdown?

I am looking to file for divorce in Chennai. We are under lockdown till June 14th. Can someone please tell me if we can file for divorce during lockdown. If no, when can we do it? Also, will be helpful to get some details around e-filing and if that can be done during lockdown.

It depends on the specific court. However physical filing is allowed. So you can comfortably file the petition in the box place for that purpose in the court premises. To guide you further you need to specify the jurisdiction.

courts are open for filing divorce case and it is onely through online process they will number the case also conducting the divorce case and only emergency matters or here and ordinary matters are postponed after normal
