How Much Time Summon Takes To Reach Opposite Party.
27-Apr-2023 (In Divorce Law)
On 7.1.2021 my case for divorce is filed and as per my lawyer now he is saying that summon is sent by court and cannot be tracked . Even today summon is not reached to the opposite party. How long it takes to reach pls tell?
You have not mentioned in your query as to in which court you have filed case for divorce and where the opposite party stays. Because the time to reach the summons to opposite party depends on the that. If opposite party is staying in other district or other state then it takes time for summons to reach through court.

Once you had filed the case and summons is issued by court it will reach within thirty days near about and reports goes to court. If summons is not served then you can issue the same through registered post.

Ask your lawyer to contact Court Clerk and Bailiff. They may be able to tell you the status of the service of summons. otherwise file fresh separate application for taking summons by hand. It is the easiest way and you can track the same.
