How can I file for divorce from a violent husband

I have been married to him for 4 yrs, with 7 month old baby. He has been violent in the past. He said that he married me as I am a nurse and believed that I would take him abroad. But since I have settled down here with a job he says the marriage is useless and badly abuses me. But he also threatens to kill all 3 of us if I ever do anything to hurt his reputation which includes divorce. How can I safely divorce him?
Such act on your husbands part tantamounts to domestic viloence, first move out to your parents house, lodge a General Diary and then Domestic Violence Case as well as maintenance case. Peacefully if you want make him agreeable for a mutual divorce.

I do not know whether you have parents or not. But if you have parents, immediate took in shelter with your baby at their house and lodged a FIR against your husband. Because, in Medical term this type of person are Phyco one. Therefore, after take shelter met nearest Advocate for further relief from him.

Divorce suit is not a hide and seek game. You have to file it in open court. You may go for file a petition under protection of women from domestic violence Act before filing divorce suit and seek protection from protection officer under the Law.
