HiI'm been undergoing physical and mental abuse by my wife and i couldn't get any moral support from both the parents. She's also giving suicidal threats most of the time. We have a 1 year old baby. I'm very much concerned about the suicidal threats and that stops me from filing for divorce or any such thing. we have tried a couple of psychiatrist sessions and it did not help. How do i deal with this suicidal threats legally? ( I don't have any recent proofs though).

First of all you need to ascertain the safety of the child. Either police complaint or petition before court is the only option you have against your wife for physical and mental abuse. The acts of your wife amounts to cruelty and it is sufficient for filing for divorce.

Hi self-incrimination is an offence under law if your wife is threatening you with regard to committing suicide and the cause of committing suicide would be you then you will have to inform to your parents by way of her official communication stating that she is threatening me for no reason and you are likely to be arrayed as an accused in any of such cases in the future so in order to avoid it it is advised that you need to inform to your as well as her parents also to the nearest police station with regard to your dispute well in advance and get a CSR registered in your name this should prevent you from any of such legal complications

You can lodge a complaint with nearby All Women Police Station and it will be helpful for you. You can also file a complaint with the District Social Welfare Officer placed at District Head Quarters.
