Hi i want to enquire about mutual divorce. As at the moment i am overseas but i want to file divorce from here as my marriage registered in Punjab Firozpur. nWhat will be the requirements to file a divorce.

mutual divorce can be filed even if you are overseas. however you need to send power of attorney here in India to someone and that attorney must be embossed at the place in whose favour the same is sent resides..

yes, you can still file divorce in Indian courts before pursuing further it is important to know what will be the jurisdiction or where you can file your case for divorce. it can be filed where you were last residing with your wife before leaving for overseas, where the marriage was solemnized, or where your wife parents house. you have to issue power of attorney to defend your case before court through proper notary of your country. your poa holder will file case and other proceedings on your behalf.
