08-Jun-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I am a married female from last 1.4 Yrs and my mother in law abuse and tortures me mentally a lot and she tries me and my husband to get against of each other. they have not told us before marriage that she is a step mother of my husband his real mother commit suicide because of mental torture. But they are financially very sound so they gave the money and the case went off. My husband is innocent he never said anything to me but he also never took a strong step for me. so can i file case against my inlaws but not my husband. I am little afraid as they are financially very sound and can bribe
First you have to be strong mentally n see that your husband supports you. You can make a police complaint to the local police station alleging all sorts of cruelty physically mentally dowry demand n others which is happening with you. Apart from it you can also file a case under domestic violence act n seek protection from court...
Its very difficult to take a step only against your in laws as as per you your husband is absolutey fine and the only step is to make your husband understand to file against your in laws. Tak to your husband regarding this
If your in laws harass you physically for reasons of dowry or otherwise, you can complaint for the same under appropriate sections of IPC.
But since you have no problem with your husband, it's not a matrimonial case.
But since you have no problem with your husband, it's not a matrimonial case.
Please file a criminal complaint against them, domestic violence complaint act, and also file before the police station this is your rights if any difficulty you can advise from us. You have to take action against these types of cruelty against In laws and also remind your husband for his silent support and consent
First file complaint with your police station and if they don't take any effective step in the matter. Then you can file DV ( domestic violence ) case against your in-laws in competent court and you can file case against your in-laws only by excluding your husband from it.
