Dowry and Mental and physical abuse

My sister has been married for 9 years in begusarai, bihar. From the day one her husband and her in laws are taunting her for dowry. They have stop her to see any of her maternal relatives. She has two daughter but her husband want son. In his anger he was regularly abusing and beating her. He was drinking habit despite the liquor ban I bihar. In February 2021 he sent my sister and her daughters to my home at delhi where my mother and i are living. My father is no more. After a week he ask for 50k fro my sister. When she was not agreed to his demand he started abusing her threatening her for cconsiquences after her return to in laws house. What should we do.

In that case please file a CAW complaint i.e. a complaint which is to be filled in women cell and if she has any bruises on her body due to the physical abuse then please get MLC done for the same. Please feel to contact for any further query.

U must report to police and followed my 498a, domestics violence case for residence n maintenance….else u can arrange panchayat n see if something can be done accordingly…thanks a lot….plz b in touch with us

You may file police complain to the nearest police station of dowry demand case under section 498A of IPC against her husband and in - laws at the place as dowry demanding is an illegal. please call for further consultation.
