Domestic violence which my mother is suffering from and i feel help le

Its my mother who is suffering from domestic violence both physically and mentally but i am currently in canada as a student i feel helpless in this matter i am looking for some advice on this matter and its affecting my mental health too.

your mother has to take initiative against this torture. she can file application with the police as well complaint under domestic violence before the court. but all this has to be done by your mother.
