I would like to give you some options. You may pick any 1. Visit the Police Station and report the offence. There is a separate department to resolve these kind of issues. You may also approach the SHE Teams or any women centric Police Stations as well. Don't worry they won't do anything serious. They will call your husband and try to resolve the matter in the Police Station itself in a amicable manner. If you aren't convinced then they will launch an FIR and do other legal proceedings. 2. You may approach State/National Women Commission to settle the issue amicably. Just in case, If things gets repeated then you already have the Police/Women Commission as your witness then the things will go in legal ways. 3. You may approach the District Legal Aid Service Authority present in all District level Courts. No lawyer fee nothing, it's free for women. Even they will try to settle the issue amicably inside the court premises. They are the officers of court of law, if things get repeated then you shall have a strong evidence. 4. Fulfilling your wish of just sending a legal notice. Pick up any option that suits you. All the Best
