Domestic violence by NRI husband and abandoned

I am a permanent resident of canada .my parents live in pune I got married in traditional hindu . to divorcee who is british citizen .marrige was registered in uk. He was very abusive i had no money or bank account nor phone . His family came to uk and at time he send be to my aunts place and sent me an email that it was mutual but was not like this with help of his friend he abandoned without further visa (asked 10 lakhs to stamp my visa)i came back to as he or his family not answer our calls as my visa was expiring i came back. Where will i get justice .i still dont understand why did he marry me? HIS first wife had also made an fir 498a in delhi and divoced.
