Divorce stay in high court case

12-May-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Hi, One of my friend got contested divorce granted in sept 2018. His wife has now filed case for stay in high court. only case has been accepted for now. We want to get married or atleast start staying together to begin our life I want to understand the legal complications of this and also how long will the high court case take to get finished. How much% chances are there where high court will cancel the judgement served by family court.

Hi

In this situation you have to wait till hon'ble high court's decision. You have no locus standi in the said case. Your friend has to try to expedite the case as soon as possible. There is a dense possibility that judgement of the family court will not be reversed but it is advisable that you both should not marry until the final decision of the hon'ble court
