Divorce - Mutual Consent - NRI

My friend is residing in abroad and his wife is staying in India. They want to go for mutual consent divorce. What is the procedure to initiate divorce formalities, to be taken by my friend from abroad?

Dear Client.... in our india getting a divorce under mutual consent both the husband and wife must be present on the day of hearing before the Hon'ble court... need furthermore clarification please call me thank you E.Iyappan Advocate

Now that the technology and internet has developed to such an extent the parties are not required to be physically present when they are placed thousands of miles away. Husband and wife can apply for divorce by mutual consent from where they are with the permission of the court.
