My husband is a dentist
. Iam also a dentist.. not much income .we wre hindus. our marriage is before one yr, we have no child, their parents and him cheated on us .. he have a psychic disorder very minute.. can i claim a compension of 20 lakhs and how much maintanance monthly will i get
u can get compensation from your husband or settlement alimony, if u both settle mutually later on. u can file domestic violence case against your husband as well. chances of monthly maintenance are less as u r also equally qualified however u can still get maintenance if ur income is very less compared to him or u have some medical expenses

If a wife is earning and has no children then there are less chances of getting any monthly maintenance order from court. as far as compensation is concerned you will have to file a private complaint against him and will have to prove that he indeed cheated you then only u will. be able to file a suit for damages.
