Divorce hindu marriage. Want to get opinion regarding filing for divor

22-Jul-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I have been married for the past 16 years. My husband does not like to take responsibilities and his parents also support him blindly. They expect me to earn for the family. Heand his parents fully support this. I too have been running the family with my salary for the past 15 years without a break along with managing my child. I have tried my best to sort out the issue with no result. He is a crowd pleaser and in front of people he acts very innocent. Anything about taking care of family he gets irritated and there are times when he has hit me as he cannot control his anger. Moreover all these fights are in front of my child. For the past 15 years I am taking care of my financial needs. He does not take care of me. He always puts the blame on others for his incompetency. In spite of me running the family his views and his parents views are that if husband does not have proper job it is the duty of the wife to take care of the family. As my parents are no more I don't have support.

“Any marriage solemnized, whether before or after the commencement of this Act, may, on a petition presented by either the husband or the wife, be dissolved by a decree of divorce on the ground that the other party has, after the solemnization of the marriage, treated the petitioner with cruelty”.
