Divorce case ongoing and need advice to change the current lawyer.

28-Sep-2025 (In Divorce Law)
I had applied for divorce in Jun2024 but I was hoping to reconcile so went to a vacation in Dec 2024 with my spouse. But their demand of making a separate house didn't stop. So I'm planning to continue the divorce case. So does that vacation part affect my case? What's the solution?

Going on a vacation together after filing for divorce will not by itself cancel or weaken your case. Courts understand that parties may try reconciliation during proceedings. Since your core issues remain unresolved and you now wish to continue with divorce, you can proceed. Just explain that the vacation was an attempt to save the marriage but did not succeed. The demand for a separate residence shows continuing incompatibility, which strengthens your ground. Discuss this openly with your new lawyer so that your case is presented clearly without confusion.

yes you can continue the matter and you have to prove irreparable damage has been caused to you and you can no longer reconcile and stay together and plus you have to also prove cruelty from the opposite side.

Dear Sir, You can continue with your previous Divorce case if it is kept pending. You have made your bonafide efforts to save the marriage. But,  the  things did not worked out so you now choose to continue with the Divorce case. Thus, there will be no negative effect on your Divorce case and on the other hand you will get the Divorce case disposed most probably in your favour.

yes your act of going on vacation with your spouse will certainly affect your case, you can withdraw the present case and file a fresh case mentioning all the facts and with new cause of action. your other side advocate will question you that as you went to vacation that means you still are not serious about divorce and you can lead life with your spouse.
