Divorce case I want to be out off those case as a petition.

I was being with relationship with a lady who was single women but not divorced at that time and her husband come to know about us and at that time I support her and was being with her that time but after sometime due to some her issue we have to get separate with each other and it’s being already more then 1.5 year we never mate and we go ahead with our life. Recently her husband file a case for divorce and in that he maintain my name as petitioner with some prof but I being outoff india and my family Receiving notice for being present in court it’s already two notice in my absence and last one my family received the showcase notice… so wants to know is it important to answer them ? And I can get out off this situation? And what things can happen with me in my career in those situations?

Well, if you have received a Summons from the Court, then you become liable to appear on the Date and on the Venue so mentioned in the summons. If you won't appear, then, legal problem can arise for you

If you are served the summon of the court then you will have to appear before court and respond. You may also appear through your counsel. You will have to respond to the allegations as leveled against you in the petition.
