Divorce and interim and permanent maintenance

My wife filed for divorce case u/s 13 1 (ia) and after 3 months she filed for maintenance u/s crpc 125. Divorce case is referred to mediation. Can I ask court to combine both the cases? Can I ask court to send maintenance case also to mediation? How long does it take for court to decide on whether maintenance needs to be given? Is there any strategy to reduce maintenance amount? She is BCOM graduate but not working.. Tx
Sir, Appear before mediation for divorce case alone with your counsel and do submit with valid reasons under desertion, cruelty etc and ask for interim maintenance pending disposal of divorce case and later ask for one time alimony before the court in which case is filed and after hearing both parties and after orders will be passed
