Divorce after 1 year of marriage

Can I take divorce for my husband after 1 year of marriage, because my in-laws and my husband mentally torture me.

Yes, but you must present evidences of such a nature that corroborates the allegation placed. As usual for any divorce petition one needs to prove that he or she cannot live with other spouse any further.

Yes you can seek Divorce by filing a divorce petition under section 13 (1) A of the Hindu Marriage Act on the ground of cruelty. In addition you can also file a complaint before the Mahila Court for Domestic Violence. Complaint before CAW CAM also be filed. For further advise you may connect

Yes you can file for divorce after completion of a year time on the ground of cruelty. All the proofs of cruelty is needed to be discussed before filing of the same. If the behaviour of your husband is intolerable towards you can anytime send a complaint regarding your grievances in writing to the police station according to your jurisdiction. And if you wish to go legal then you can also file a petition under section 12 DV or section 125 CrPC and claim maintenance for yourself. And if there's no scope of living together then rather stretching the relationship you should file for contested divorce under the ground of cruelty. I would suggest you to go with mutual divorce because it's cost effective and ends up in a maximum of six months. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.
