If you and your husband have been living separately for 8 months and he has changed his address without informing you, you may first try to communicate with him through a written notice. If he is refusing to provide his address, threatening or abusing you or your family, you should preserve all messages, call records and other evidence. Depending on the facts of your case, appropriate legal remedies regarding maintenance, residence, protection from abuse and matrimonial relief may be available. You should consult a family-law advocate with the relevant documents to determine the appropriate remedy and jurisdiction.

you need to file a case because it is part of cruelty, he is hiding him from you and your family members, first you need to approach an advocate he will assist you during this period. this is a serious situation as the wife you don't even know where your husband is ? he might have cheated you or wanted to harass you.

If you want to live with your husband you need to give a legal notice and tell him that I want to live with you but if you behave and such way there is no other option to leave him and also ask for all the items which he has of yours make a list of it and also give it with the legal notice refusing to give you your address and is threatening you then you need to go to police and make application for threatening and do a complaint for your things along with a complaint for harassment which will be used as a record for divorce and maintenance necessary and you can also file domestic violence along with an FIR against the in laws as well

I am sorry you are facing this difficult situation. If your husband is threatening or harassing you or your family, your safety should come first. Submit a written complaint to the nearest police station, Women’s Cell, or Mahila Thana so there is an official record of the threats. You may also seek help under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. Through the court, you can request the return of your stridhan and personal belongings, protection from threats or harassment, residence rights, and financial assistance. If your husband has stopped supporting you financially, you may apply for maintenance under Section 125 CrPC (144 of the BNSS). Depending on your religion and circumstances, other family-law provisions may also apply. If you genuinely wish to resume the marriage, you may consider filing a petition for restitution of conjugal rights. However, this should be done only after discussing your situation with a family-law advocate. Keep all evidence, including messages, call recordings, emails, proof of threats, and a detailed list of your belongings. You may consult a family-law advocate or approach the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) for free legal assistance.

You should file a maintenance case and a DV case immediately. You can file the DV case under the entire family. It is your best option to recover your streedhan and enforce your rights as a wife. If you want to avoid cases and seek reconciliation, file for prelitigation mediation settlement for reconciliation. apply at the mediation center in a court nearest to you for it. Don't require a lawyer for it
