I am Hindu. My husband has initiated divorce. I have a 2 yr old daughter. I have been torchured mentally, emotionally. I am earning very less. He has very good income. What I can demand form him if he wants.divorce.

Hello mam, if he has initiated contested divorce then you should file maintanence case u/s 125crpc for you and your daughter....and if you want to go for mutual divorce thn you should ask a good amount as full n final settlement...for further discussion do contact....

you have to case a file under section 406,498A IPC and also file a case of domestic violence and for mentinens of your child and herself u should file a application of 125 cr p.c. in the court. if he wants divorce then he have to give compensation..

I assume that your daughter is in your custody. If that's correct then you have a very good case. You can demand maintainence for yourself and the child. Additionally, you can claim your share in his property by filing appropriate cases like Domestic Violence, Dowry, etc.
