Cops Forcing me to live with my wife

28-Jul-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Hi I got registered marriage in Chennai. The next day after marriage I started living with my parents and my wife is living with her parents. Now I'm lost interest to live with my wife due to her family problems and now my wife went to cops saying that I deserted her and she wants me to live with her. Also the cops are forcing me to live with her. Can anyone force me to live with my wife and what I have to do with this issue and it's only 7 months since we got married.

No. Nobody can force you like that. But you cannot simply desert her without properly intimating the reason. If you have decided not to live with her then at least you should have sent legal notice through an advocate stating how you want to proceed with the matrimonial bond. Next time when you visit police station you take the assistance of an advocate.

in such kind of situation you should file a divorce petition before appropriate Court when the divorce petition is pending before the family court then the police would not interfere in your matter Baithe the file a divorce petition when there is some external force threatening you to live with your wife
