Complaint closed by police without my consent

22-Aug-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I had received a threat given by unidentified person sent by my husband against whom i am fighting domestic violence case. I complained on women helpline followed by filling a complaint in police station where they alloted me diary number. I submitted my statement also. Now after 3 months, i enquired about my complaint and they said i have withdrawn the complaint so they dint fo anything. I have not withdrawn my complaint, neither have given any application to close it either. Can police withdraw a complaint without my consent What should i do?

police cannot withdraw the complaint without your consent. you may file a complaint before the magistrate directly or alternatively complain about this to the dcp or commissioner and if they do not take any action on your complaint, the file a petition before the magistrate.
