Changing the surname of child to mother's surname

What is the procedure to change the surname of child to the mother's surname post divorce? I want to change it in passport. Can I do it without the consent of the biological father?

you can change the surname through making the affidavit from court and then paper publication accordingly to your surname or the other yes you can do without the consent of your ex husband ... what is your jurisdiction...

divorce do not change or effect the relationship between the biological parents and the child. the only way to severe any such relationship is to go for adoption with the consent of the father. in any case surname can still be changed by making an affidavit before a first class magistrate and then followed by paper publication and then gazette publication.

court has already stated that a child doesnot belong to father and change of name of child is very easy there are few steps in which it can be changed you just need to follow some protocols to obtain the same
