Can my friend file for divorce as her marriage is not registered

one of my friend got married she got married as she is emotionally blackmailed by the boy, now she did not want to live with him and marriage is done in temple marriage is not registered only photos r there some call recordings are there as proof which emotionally blackmailed and my friend caste is scheduled caste

Yes she can file a case for divorce in the court even tough if the marriage is not registered as per his ndu marriage law it is not compulsory for you to register the marriage the marriage performed in temple is legal

Dear, Yes. Your friend can file for divorce. Registration of marriage is not necessary to file divorce petition when your friend has other evidence of your marriage. Marriage photographs and any other evidence(s) suggesting solemnization of marriage is sufficient to file divorce petition.

Even if the marriage is not registered, the same is admissible in the court of law if the requirements of religious law are complied. As said, it is performed in temple and it will definitely meet the basic requriements of saptapadi, etc. Your friend can not file for divorce under section 13 of Hindu marriage act.
