Can I file a case under DV act after divorce under cruelty

Can i file police complaint after divorce. If court gave divorce under cruelty. Can i file DV, 498A against him and his parents who also actually tortured me. I dint gave previously to save my marriage. But now if its completely break down, can i file now. What are sections applicable

You can certainly file a case, if you can make out that you were quite for reasons, It all depends on period of limitation as per law. What is the finding given by court in divorce case has to be seen. has the court awarded permanent alimony ? based on which, we can reopen the case/ carry the same in appeal and also file new case as stated above.
