Can I claim marriage expenses if I divore my husband

Can I claim marriage expenses and get back my jewels and cash dowry if I divorce my husband because I do not like him? Or only I can get my jewels and cash dowry?

Hello! yes you can take back your stridhan but A petition has to be filed separately from him . but on what ground you want to take divorce from your husband?. You need to consult in person with the advocate. let me know

You can claim your streedhan only but not marriage expenses as you are initiating a Divorce. A mutual settlement between you and your husband will make it easier for you to make your claims settled. Best option is you take mutual consent Divorce and avoid allegations against each other.

Yes you can claim for the marriage expenses and you can also get back the jewelry and cash amount if you have the evidence of it. if you have the evidence of the jewelry then the court can grant the husband to give the cash and jewelry back to the wife
