Bigamy done by husband,what are wife rights

I married in 2008 ,both hindu genral caste but did not register the marriage now my husband without my knowledge marries again 2020and registers that marriage.after sometime they had dispute and she started blackmailing him to leave his family or she will file scst case against him. She knows while marrying my husband the he is married man and we have two kids .my husband regrets his decision.I wanted to file bigamy but he is breadearner. What can i do to save my family and my husband from

You can file a case against that lady for blackmailing. you can report about it in police. also take your husband to police councelling center they will try to solve the issue without any strong action. Further unku can contact for complete legal action.

Sc st issue is a serious one seek legal assistance for mediation with local counsel bigamy is an offence and both are committing crime other members of her family were an accomplice so her alleged harresment will not spare her she needs to be advised how ever if there are child then they will have rights all involved have to act morally also

As you told that you were married to your husband in 2008, after that your husband married another woman and also got her registered, that woman also came to know about the marriage later that she had married. He is already marriedIf you get proof of second marriage then you can file a case u/s 494 IPC and is the father of two children
