Asking for money spent before marriage

Marriage cancelled by girl side(before 10 days of marriage) Now they are asking for money which they have spent before marriage on roka ceremony, Diwali and gifts(2 lacs ) What should I do I have also spent money (1 lac)on them(girls cloths,shagun, gifts) apart from that 2-3 lacs i have spent on marriage preparation. One more thing girl said she is graduate but now I found out she is BA fail this was a lie also from their side.

You can move court seeking to be compensated for the monetary loss caused to you due to the marriage cancellation at the nth hour. Additionally, your case gets even more strong with the fact that she had lied and concealed the fact of her being less educated than projected. You must take this step before they take any action. If at all they act first, you can make a set off in that of your claim. Do contact in case of any other help

send a legal notice with the help of advocate and mention all you facts and expences incurred by you and demand damages from them. do not wait for them to initiate than you will defence its better to attract first.
