Arya Samaj Marriage validity n contested divorce

My marriage was conducted at Arya Samaaj and we got a certificate from Arya Samaj certifying the same. We havent got our marriage registered at court. Me and my wife are separated since last 10 months, so plz confirm if my Arya samaj marriage is valid legally and do i need to seek divorce for disolving said marriage or is there any other way.

Arya samaj certificate of marriage holds no legality in the eyes of law as held recently by the supreme court. However, if a lady has this certificate and as you said she is separated, she may claim maintenance from you under domestic violence act showing your relations with her to be...

Yes, You have to seek Divorce. If you won't seek Divorce, you will go in trouble, as you will not be able to marry with any other girl. Thus, Divorce is mandatory, because your Arya Samaj Mandir Certifying your Marriage is valid.
