Applying for divorce in india from abroad

Both me and my spouse are staying in abroad. We have a 3.7 years old kid. We would like to file a divorce due to personal issues between us. Can we file and get divorce in india while staying outside of country. How much time it will take for processing.
Yes you can file for divorce by staying abroad. If both are towards divorce then you both can go for divorce by mutual consent. But you need an address in India and need to make personal appearance while filing the petition depending on the court. For this procedure it will take 7 months to a year. For contested divorce timeframe cannot be predicted.
