Amendment of MTP 2021/22- Will it apply retrospectively

09-Nov-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I understand it is now legal for an unmarried woman to go for MTP. But one of my friend is threatened by her in-laws that they would file divorce on the ground she committed in 2001 when she was 23 yrs old unmarried and her current husband was her boyfriend then. She committed abortion due to the fear of social stigma . They are threatening it was a criminal offence in 2001and she will be jailed.

hi first need to see any complaint or any FIR was lodged against person and if yes then you could file quash petition alleging that you are noy connected to the allegations mentioned in the complaint and that it does not apply retrospectively
