Alimony & Property Ownership Post-Hindu Marriage Act Marriage

The marriage was solemnized under the Hindu Marriage Act and has lasted for 2.5 years. Both parties are employed. I have proof of my contributions through bank statements and payment receipts. Her contribution is less than 5% in both properties. Dispute: Two jointly owned properties were purchased during the marriage period, both on bank loans. EMIs are paid by me. She is seeking ownership of the commercial shop. Both properties are under construction, with possession expected next year (2025).

Further, with little contributions that she has made , have you offered to return whatever money she has contributed towards the said properties. Well, if your Wife is educated and she is earning well, capable of taking care of her own and her family, then, she is not legally eligible to claim Maintenance from Court! She cannot exclusively become the owner of these two properties purchased jointly on your and your wife's name! She can become the owner of merely that much proportion of share in the under construction Properties, upto the amount invested by her.
