20-Mar-2024 (In Divorce Law)
In a divorce case with Husband(filled by him) since 2018.No kids.I was a B.ED Lecturer at a private college.Husband had IT job with 1 lakh plus salary and court ordered an Alimony Rs 10k/month (since Dec-2018).My college got closed after covid and I'm currently not working.Applied for Alimony increase to 35k but husband objected. He resigned from job stating depression/anxiety and told court he can't pay alimony anymore sighting no salary income. Can I ask 35k from his PF interest income?

Hello,

Please I will ask you to refer to the fresh Asset Liability Statement which was filed by your Husband before the Learned Court. There must be a reference to his bank account, his savings and his source of income as of date and also the liabilities he has. Lastly it's totally up to your Learned Lawyer and ultimately on the Judge.
