If the woman is working or capable of securing a job but not doing so deliberately, then she cannot get Alimony. However if the woman is not capable of securing a job that pays enough for her due to her educational background and other reasons, then she can claim alimony stating that she is not earning enough. It's decided on a case by case basis but cannot be decided in a Petition for Divorce by Mutual Consent because it's meant for couples who have decided to part ways amicably and the court does not interfere with other aspects as for that, you'll need to lead evidence and present arguments in court.
