Alimony - contested divorce in process

Can I get alimony if my marriage ends after 2 years . Im a working women and have a child who is 1.5 years old. My husband and his family are money minded . They had adopted a girl immediately when was born and now she is 25 years old. Me and my child are not even receiving a penny from him. Kindly help how do I proceed further
hi.. your and daughters rights in your matrimonial family do exist even of yiu are working as the father and husband do have equal responsibility as per indian law. you must approach the appropriate court, most probably the family court of your area for redressal of your grievance

Hello you can file case for maintenance in the family Court for your 1.5 year old child and also for youself if you are unable to maintain yourself from your earnings. Maintenance is decided on the income and status of husband.
