Well, you need to hire a lawyer to represent yourself in the Peitition filed by your Husband for Restitution of the Conjugal Rights (Sec 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955). Whatever decision will be passed in such case, whether you appoint a lawyer to represent you in such Petition or not, it'll be not binding.

Dear Client, As you have filed Divorce and DV case, where your husband has failed to attend the hearings despite receiving the Court notice, your lawyer should be definitely taking steps to fastrack the further process. However if you need a second opinion, we can have a detailed discussion over consultation to guide you better

Dear queriest, if he has filed section 9 of the Hindu Marriage act then you have to prove the facts that he been Not a good husband and is alcoholic and abusive with you so that the court may consider the same and also it won't effect your divorce case, for more information about the same kindly call me
