After DV case, the bridegroom side like to settle case outside court

05-Sep-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Hi, We arranged a marriage to our hindu minor girl (age 15) with a 28 year boy in 2015 by bearing an expenses of 5 lakh with a 2 lakh dowry, they lived together for 4 months. after several issues of domestic violence we brought our girl to our home and filed a case for DV 9 months ago. Now the boy parents are asking us to settle the case outside the court. Pls help us how to handle the case now. We dont want to send the girl anyway. We want to claim some amount for the things happened. We dont have any urgency in this issue, can we prolong it more in the court or settle it down now. Please some one guide us. Thanks

Hi
First and foremost the marriage of a minor girl is itself null and void.
if you as a father of the girl is interested in the well being of your daughter, it is recommended that you demand monetary relief's from the boy's family and then declare the marriage null and void so that the girl can atleast settle in future in a manner so desired by her.

If you possible settle the matter it is better to avoid further litigation 2. You make mistake I. e., at the time of marriage your girl is minor.. Legally create further litigation So you have to collect money then take mutual divorce
