The Honourable Supreme Court of India in a judgment passed in 2018 had struck down Section 497 IPC and decriminalised the offence of adultery being violative of Article 21 of the Constitution. The adultery however can be a valid ground for divorce

Adultery per se is not punishable as the matter is before supreme court but having illicit relationships with brother soldier’s wife is unbecoming of an offence and the offender can be charged for that and be punished. You can file a detailed legal complaint to get the proceedings initiated against the offender. Please contact for further discussions.
