PleaSe help required urgently as I've unknowingly by mistake taken companies' data on my personal id. They have taken as a breach of policy

Dear Please seek a written apology and make an registered affidavit/undertaking that the data that had been transferred will not be used by you under any circumstances and that you will not pass on the data and further you will erase it in its totality. For more details please contact the office.

You should be careful while working for anyone especially if it is something to do with Data of the company or their Clients. Are they filing a case against you for same ? At what stage is the case if already done ?

Having handeled many data theft cases, It’s indeed a serious contravention of IT Laws. Before I comment further on the matter, I would want to go through the following documents: 1) Employment agreement/NDA 2) IT Policies of the company 3) Any e-mail communication with this employee.
