Sex chat has happened. Do not know whether complaint is there or not

My friend had made sex chat now she had complaint to police. He doesn't know whether she complaint it or not if it happened what he should do? She is from North India n the guy is a south Indian so how the case will go on and what will be the punishment

I Have gone through your question,the offence which is been made by your friend is very serious i nature .
as the crime is concern your friend may get arrested in the offence of 375,376,354(A,B,C,D,E, IPC as well as he may also get booked under section 67, 67(A),66(B)Of INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ACT 2000 .As well as he can in all these case the3 punishment will be from 3 years to life imprisonment also it will consist of the chat material what they have chated.
