Sent an abusive marriage to someone online what are the repercussions

20-Feb-2023 (In Cyber Crime Law)
Dear Sir/ Madam, I am a NRI, residing in Bahrain.Recently i sent foul language message in social media about one person who misbehaved with my wife(this incident happened in 2004 but i do not have any proof ).He is a hanky panky person and done all bad things but still getting good social status. That worried me and that was the reason i used foul language. Now he wants an apology in the same social media. But still i believes what i done was correct and do not want to send any apology.I send that foul message from Bahrain. If he files the case what punishment i will get?.Please give your advice.I do not have any legal case before in India/ Bahrain

Hi, Cyber crime would need the clear evidence before filing any case. In case, if he produce digital proof and case is filed then you may need to travel back to india to face the case. You may be convicted maximum 3 years u/s 66a,66d of IT act, if it i proved in court. Instead, you may file defamation case against the person misbehaved with your wife. We may need to discuss which kind of harassment your wife faced from him.
