Regarding a person who sent same message to multiple girls asking for

My sister received a message from a random person asking her for one night stand. She came to know that her other 4-5 friends also received the same message. After letting the person know that we will be filing complaint against him, he apologized and said he did it by mistake in the flow of emotions. Is this a crime? Should we file complaint against him?

Well, you can lodge a Police Complaint against that person and get it converted into a FIR, asking your Sister and other random girls for sexual favors under the IT, Act, 2000 and under certain provisions of the IPC, 1860.
