Someone is causing my defamaton by lying the facts to the mass including family, does posting real facts of Truth with Proofs on social media to counter the defamation amounts to Cyber Crime? 1st Exception – Suggestion of truth for public good Any suggestion that is true with respect to any person, if it is for the public good that the suggestion must be made or published, shall not fall under defamation. However, whether it is for the public good or not is a question of fact.

Well, showing reality of someone in society by exposing him for creating awareness amongst public, for their welfare doesn't amount to Defamation. However, if the words said either orally or in writing are far away from reality, they are not facts, but propoganda, then Defamation can be filed against such person who said such false words or falsely wrote words to defame someone, to tarnish his image.
