Installing a CCTV camera pointing at your private terrace, especially areas used for bathing and personal activities, constitutes a serious invasion of privacy and is a criminal offense under Section 354C of the IPC (Voyeurism) and Section 66E of the Information Technology Act. You are advised to immediately send a strict Legal Notice to your neighbor demanding the realignment or removal of the camera; if they fail to comply, you have the right to file an FIR at the local police station or approach the Civil Court for a mandatory injunction to protect your privacy.

If your neighbor’s CCTV camera is directed toward an area used for your private activities, it may amount to a violation of your right to privacy. You may raise a written objection and demand that the camera be re-angled. If the issue persists, a complaint may be lodged with the local police or appropriate legal action may be taken.
