If the accused was a juvenile at the time of the alleged offence, the law mandates strict confidentiality of identity under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015. Disclosure of name or identity is legally impermissible. Your friend should immediately: 1. File an application before the concerned Court/Juvenile Justice Board seeking direction to mask/remove her name and personal details from all publicly accessible records, including e-Courts. 2. Move a petition before the jurisdictional High Court (under Article 226 / Section 482 Cr.P.C.) for erasure/anonymization of records, if the issue persists. 3. Submit a representation to the e-Courts services authority requesting anonymization, enclosing proof that she was a minor at the time of the incident. The continued public display of identity of a juvenile is contrary to statutory protection and can be challenged. Prompt legal action will ensure protection of her privacy and future prospects.
