This is a cyber harassment/stalking case, and since you're being repeatedly contacted, abused, and disturbed despite cutting all ties, you have legal remedies. Here's the best course of action: 1. File a Cyber Crime Complaint: Approach the nearest Cyber Crime Police Station or file a complaint online at cybercrime gov website Mention: Nature of past contact (consensual adult chats) Cessation of contact after she entered a relationship 70+ blocked calls and continued harassment Abusive texts and mental disturbance during UPSC preparation Attach: Screenshots of calls, messages Your prior efforts to block/avoid contact 2. Legal Sections That May Apply: Under the Information Technology Act and Indian Penal Code (IPC): Section 66A IT Act (though struck down, police still refer to it) Section 67 IT Act – If any obscene messages are being sent Section 354D IPC – Stalking Section 503 IPC – Criminal intimidation Section 507 IPC – Anonymous threats Section 509 IPC – Insulting modesty (if sexually abusive) 3. Additional Steps You Can Take: Draft a legal notice via an advocate to warn them to stop all communication. Consider filing for a restraining order/injunction under CrPC Section 144 if the harassment is persistent. Lodge a General Diary (GD) or NC complaint at your local police station for record and future protection. 4. UPSC Exam Urgency: Tell the police about your UPSC exams. Mention mental harassment and seek immediate intervention (like police contacting them with a warning).
