Fraudster duped money via pet scam
18-Apr-2023 (In Cyber Crime Law)
After seeing an online ad we ordered two puppies. Paid money to the puppy owner in Mizoram. Then in the name of shipping charges, quarantine certificates, etc the transportation guy asked money first 19000, then 49000.When we denied the second payment they said it was refundable. After that again 80000 was demanded saying that the total amount would be paid in cheque at the time of delivery. We asked them to stop the procedures and return the money. But they denied saying they cannot reverse the process. In order to get the money we have to pay more. Total 4.41 lac rs has been given. Now he is asking for 4 lac more. We have his emails, whatsapp chat, ph no. bank account no. Is there any way to get our money back
Yes. You should send a proper and articulatury drafted legal cum demand notice.
If they do not repay after the said legal notice, you should file a recovery summary suit as it would help you recover your money in a speedy manner.
You can also file a criminal complaint of fraud simultaneously before a police station.
Feel free to contact.
