Wrongly accused by brother in laws wife in 498 case

My brother in laws wife has put 498 case against all the family members including me and my wife , both of us stay in mumbai while my brother in law lives in west bengal along with his mother.nMe and my wife granted bail by sessions court as we produced that me and my wife were not present on day of incident as mentioned by the wife of brother in law.nI want to file a criminal defamation case against her in mumbai for falsely accusing me and my wife nKindly help

Yes, you can file a Defamation case against her. You can file a Civil as well as a Criminal Defamation Case. You can file a case of Slander and Libel or either of Libel or Slander within a prescribed period of limitation as mentioned in the Limitation Act, 1963.
